Some days I wake up in the morning feeling overwhelmed and down.  Nothing seems to go right, I drop everything, wake up late, can't find anything to wear.... Then I read the news and realize how very lucky I really am.   My bad hair day seems small in comparison to natural disasters, terrorist threats, school shootings, domestic violence and a multitude of other horrific acts and events that happen every single day.  So today I say MY LIFE IS GOOD and I am lucky to have the life that I do.   I'd like to share some things that I am thankful for...

    * I am thankful that I have a family, boyfriend and dog that loves me unconditionally.
    * I am thankful that I have a job, a roof over my head and a hobbie that I adore.
    * I am thankful that I spent a lot of quality time with my father before he passed through this world far too soon.
    * I am thankful that I have not been personally touched by the cruel events that happen in the world around me.

I'd like to hear from others today about some of the things they are thankful for, lets all celebrate life rather than read about its dilemas.

I figure any day I wake up is a good day, one filled with many blessings - known and yet to be discovered. Yes, life is good. :)

I have been in a similar mode lately. Whenever I feel down or blue, I have three songs of inspiration that I listen to.

The Climb by Miley Cyrus
Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw
Jesus Take The Wheel by Carrie Underwood

Life is better than we tell ourselves it is. Sometimes we just have to stop and remember that.

You are so right! I think the same thing so often! Especially when I see commercials for items that you "need" as if there aren't people that need food, water, and shelter. I am so blessed to have all the modern day comforts, cable, internet, clothing (more than I can handle really), and my health. Thank you for this post!

Great post. Its true that sometimes we get bogged down by the little things. Its important to look at the big picture and be thankful for all we have.

I wish that more people out there had an outlook like you. Being able to appreciate the little things is a wonderful gift.
I am thankful for my family, my husband, my daughter and my son (due in April), each one of them brings a smile to face just to think of them.

Watching the news sure can put your own problems in perspective. Every time I see news I am thankful for all of things that are good in my life and don't worry so much about my little problems.

Thanks everyone! We have the power to make our days better, what we do doesn't always affect the world but it does affect our immediate surroundings. A bad day for some is a great day for others, live each day as if it were a gift, because it really is.

I am thankful for the simple things like a home, food and family. I am most greatful for my children who are growing up to be loving and giving adults with huge hearts. This lets me sleep at night.

What a great post. Sometimes you have to be kicked in the butt to remember all the great things that happen.
I am thankful for my health and my healthy family.
