BeadKNEAD is a creation of my addiction to colors, textures and BEADS.!! I am a healthcare manager and BeadKNEAD is my hobby; although I must say I think I work harder on my hobby. I am married to a wonderful man who is a professional skater and world class coreographer. We have 3 children; 2 daughters (34 and 21) and a son (33) and two wonderful grand-daughters. I started BeadKNEAD after designing and creating jewelry that I sold on ETSY and was successful with my own jewelry parties. I still do jewelry and parties for friends, but the majority of time is spent looking for unusual beads, negotiating pricing and offering the savings retail. I LUV my backyard; I call my little piece of paradise, I LUV to dig in the dirt and plant flowers and I LUV the beach. My Name is Carole, I have spent the past 22 years of my life raising my 3 wonderful children with my husband Michael, and taking care of my elderly parents. I have always admired artists and craftsmen, I would go to every craft fair around always thinking WOW how talented these people are. Well My parents passed away and my Children grew up and I found my self with lots of free time. Cleaning out my parents house I found lots of craft supplies and artificial wreaths. I decided to try to do something with it. I found I had this hidden talent. For the first few years I would make wreaths for my friends and Family for any occasion they wanted. My husband is the one who encouraged me to open a shop on Etsy. I love to work with all kinds of materials, artificial Flowers, leaves, foliage, sea shells, evergreen, grapevine, styrofoam,you name it. I love the challenge of a new material and what I can create with it. I love all the Holidays and I start creating for each holiday well in advance. My shop on Etsy has something for every holiday, If you don't see something you like I'm happy to make a custom order for you. I also have wreaths and other items to decorate your home year round. I am very grateful to be part of this wonderful community. Etsy, not only welcomed me into the artistic world, it has helped me with my creativity, and has introduced me to so many new friends and artists who are helpful and encouraging. I Love this new part of my life.

 I have always been involved in working with my hands in some way or another.  About 17 years ago I started building fantasy birdhouses for fun and pretty soon friends were encouraging me.  The following spring, the local farmer's market became my second home and I spent the next 6 years creating and selling them to people from all over the world.
Then we relocated to another area and life changed. After Ebay I learned about Etsy and thought I could sell them here. But Canada Postal rates sky rocketed and it became way too much for shipping.  So, I sort of stagnated for a few years and then my daughter saw my frustration at doing very little re my crafts and suggested I look into doing something else here on Etsy. Voila....a new path opened up for me.....reclaiming and repurposing vintage and well loved jewelery, etc.  I am still on a learning curve with this new venture, and am loving it alot.   It is just a hobby for me....but one I think I am hooked on.  It is such alot of fun searching out these forgotten treasures and putting my own twist into designing.....making a little funk, a little punk, a little class and a little sass!!!
